REPRODUCTIVE RIGHTS LEADERS ENDORSE CYR
NARAL Pro-Choice Massachusetts PAC and the Planned Parenthood Advocacy Fund of Massachusetts Support Reelection Campaign
TRURO—Today, State Senator Julian Cyr (D-Truro) welcomed support from both NARAL Pro-Choice Massachusetts PAC and the Planned Parenthood Advocacy Fund in his campaign to continue representing the Cape & Islands.
“With the Supreme Court in the balance and the right to autonomy and health for millions of women at risk, it’s never been more important to have organizations like NARAL and the Planned Parenthood Advocacy Fund working tirelessly in every state to protect women and their access to quality health care,” said Senator Cyr. “I am proud to stand with them and to support their work, and I look forward to continuing to be a partner in the Legislature to protect the right for women to make their own health care decisions and to expand access to health care.”

Senator Cyr earned his degree in Community Health and Public Policy, and has worked to expand access to healthcare and critical screenings throughout his career. As a Director of Policy and Regulatory Affairs for Environmental Health at the Massachusetts Department of Public Health and earlier a Harm-Reduction Counselor at the AIDS Support Group of Cape Cod, Senator Cyr has dedicated his work to helping people lead healthy lives. In the State Senate, Cyr successfully proposed an amendment to landmark health care reform legislation to ask that the state study the cost of a single payer system versus the current system. He also worked to ensure the passage of a bill to establish paid family medical leave.
