Cape Codder Cyr leads with compassion

Thank you to Patricia Corcoran of Dennis for submitting this wonderful letter to the editor.

I proudly support Julian Cyr to be our next state senator. He leads with compassion, intellect and from strong Cape roots.

Julian worked on many important issues as the director of policy and regulatory affairs for environmental health at the state Department of Public Health. He helped the oyster industry stay open in 2013. He held Pilgrim Nuclear Power Station accountable to pay for a resupply of our potassium iodide pills (which had expired), and he helped fund a state program that Barnstable, Mashpee, Falmouth and Bourne have implemented that creates interventions for hypertension and diabetes.

One accomplishment that especially touched me came in 2013, when Julian worked with the Massachusetts Department of Public Health’s Community Sanitation Program to move the children of migrant workers out of decrepit housing and into safe living quarters.

Julian gets results and has stayed true to his humble Cape roots. Let’s elect him Sept. 8 as our next state senator! There is no one better to fill Dan Wolf’s big shoes. More information can be found at www.juliancyr.com.
